Snowmobiling

Depart from Alpena and enjoy miles of scenic trails in northeast Michigan. Park, stay and ride from Alpena Best Western (1-800-528-1234) or Alpena Days Inn (1-800-582-9050). Park behind Stanson Floor Covering and Furniture on M-32. Enter the trail head between Stanson’s and Best Western or use the DNR parking lot on Indian Reserve Road 6 miles west of Alpena on M-32. In addition to the Devils Lake and Norway Ride trail systems in Alpena County, you can continue on to the Elk Country Trail System in Montmorency County and ride all the way to Mackinaw on marked, groomed trails.
