Special Events

It seems as though something special is always going on in Alpena. Festivals and events that celebrate Independence Day, antique steam engines, classic cars, lighthouses, Santa Claus, the Thunder Bay River, and a fish called “Big Brownie” are just a smattering of the special events that take place in Alpena year ‘round.  Great performances at the Alpena Fine Arts Shell, Alpena High School Auditorium, the Alpena County Library and Alpena Community College’s Granum Theatre are scheduled throughout the year.

That happens to include floating toy boats in his bedpan, playing his trumpet, and kidnapping an obnoxious bread manufacturer.  All of this is to get attention from his lawyer son but it incurs the young man's wrath and confirms his view that the old man is crazy.
In the final con-frontation between father and son,
young Sean learns a secret that changes his entire life.
