Special Events
It seems as though something special is always going on in Alpena. Festivals and events that celebrate Independence Day, antique steam engines, classic cars, lighthouses, Santa Claus, the Thunder Bay River, and a fish called “Big Brownie” are just a smattering of the special events that take place in Alpena year ‘round. Great performances at the Alpena Fine Arts Shell, Alpena High School Auditorium, the Alpena County Library and Alpena Community College’s Granum Theatre are scheduled throughout the year.

Resaissance Music and Shakespeare

Alpena Civic Theatre and Quintetto Sonare will present an afternoon of Renaissance Music and Shakespeare, July 12, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.
