Special Events
It seems as though something special is always going on in Alpena. Festivals and events that celebrate Independence Day, antique steam engines, classic cars, lighthouses, Santa Claus, the Thunder Bay River, and a fish called “Big Brownie” are just a smattering of the special events that take place in Alpena year ‘round. Great performances at the Alpena Fine Arts Shell, Alpena High School Auditorium, the Alpena County Library and Alpena Community College’s Granum Theatre are scheduled throughout the year.

Booth Space Rental Donated to: Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival. Spaces, are 10’ x 10’ Cost: $20.00 paid in full at the time application is submitted. Each exhibitor responsible for his/her own sales tax collection, and supply their own display.
Vendors will remain open until the end of the show on Sunday.
This event will take place in the parking lot so be prepared for the elements.

Presque Isle Township Lighthouse Blast...
Location: The New Presque Isle Lighthouse

Join the Presque Isle Township Parks & Recreation Committee on
Saturday, June 27th at the New Presque Isle Lighthouse.
This fireworks fund raising event starts at 6:00 p.m.
Family friendly fund raiser for the Presque Isle Harbor Fireworks.
Take the lighthouse challenge by tossing your (small package of) cookies from the top of the lighthouse at a target on the ground for a prize.

We will raffle of the chance to watch the P.I. Harbor fireworks
