Special Events
It seems as though something special is always going on in Alpena. Festivals and events that celebrate Independence Day, antique steam engines, classic cars, lighthouses, Santa Claus, the Thunder Bay River, and a fish called “Big Brownie” are just a smattering of the special events that take place in Alpena year ‘round. Great performances at the Alpena Fine Arts Shell, Alpena High School Auditorium, the Alpena County Library and Alpena Community College’s Granum Theatre are scheduled throughout the year.

Susan Harrison is a versatile perofrmer from Kalazazoo, MI. As Kalamazoo's reginal coordinator for NSA
(Nashville Songwriters Association International)
she strives to promote quality songwriting and to never quit learning. Susan has designed puppets and received many awards for per performances as a singer and a puppeteer.
