The 4-county region of the Alpena Area is an incredible venue for sport anglers and a great area to build family fishing memories. We're asking for your help to create our region’s first local Fishing Guide. Once completed, the guide will include information on all publicly accessible bodies of water within Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties. Don't worry ... we won't give away your secret spot!

The guide will make it easy for people to find where public launch sites are located, where they can get gas and supplies, and other information useful to those wishing to enjoy the sport of fishing.

Follow the link below to help create the areas to highlight in the guide. Use one form for each individual body of water. Submit information only for those bodies of water you are most familiar with. Use the back of the form to include more information, if necessary. Deadline for submission to have information included in the 2014 guide is Friday, November 1, 2013.

Fish Stories!

We would also like to include local fish stories to give people a chance to empathize in the tragedies that can befall anglers when they miss the big one and celebrate in the triumph of reeling in the unbelievable.

How did you get started with the activity of fishing?
What do you like best about fishing?
What are some of your favorite local fishing memories?

If you have a story you would like to share please email it to Mary Beth at mstutzman@alpenacvb.com

Thank you for your help!
